Żabka Polska and Grupa MTP officially confirmed the continuation of their strategic partnership for the upcoming edition of the POLAGRA trade fair, one of the most important events in the food and HoReCa sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. Both parties emphasize the unquestionable potential of this cooperation, which serves as a foundation for building modern business relationships of strategic importance for the entire industry.
The local roots of both organizations—the dynamically growing Żabka Group and Grupa MTP, a symbol of trade fair history—provide an excellent foundation for building the event’s prestige. The meeting of these leaders in Poznań is not only a manifestation of local pride, but above all a powerful business impulse for the entire food industry.
A Leader in an Expansion Phase
At the end of Q2 2026, Żabka Group operated more than 13,063 stores across Poland and Romania, including Żabka Nano autonomous locations. The growing scale of its operations expands opportunities for collaboration with food manufacturers, suppliers, and technology companies.

A Strategic Partnership for the Future of Retail
For years, the POLAGRA trade fair has been one of the primary meeting places for representatives of the food industry from Poland and abroad. The event brings together food manufacturers, technology suppliers for the food industry, and representatives of the HoReCa sector. The previous edition brought together business owners, managers, and buyers from nearly 40 countries.
As highlighted by the event organizer, Grupa MTP, this year’s edition will be even more comprehensive thanks to expanding the exhibition to include new market segments. POLAGRA will also maintain its pro-export character, complemented by new networking formats designed to create even better conditions for building business relationships and maximizing the potential of meetings for both exhibitors and visitors.
One of the highlights of the international showcase will be the Italian Pavilion, featuring over 60 exhibitors. Visitors will be able to explore more than 2,000 products directly from manufacturers, as well as a rich selection of items protected by European quality seals and tied to regions on the UNESCO Heritage list. The exhibition will allow attendees to discover the richness of Italian culinary tradition and establish contacts with producers looking for business partners in the Polish market.

A strong presence of retail chains will also remain a key element of this year’s edition, further enhancing the business dimension of the event and highlighting its significance for the entire Polish food industry.
"Cooperation with Żabka Polska during the POLAGRA trade fair has shown that together we can achieve much more. We share a passion for innovation, continuous growth, and building sustainable business. Ahead of us are future editions, and I am confident that together we will realize many more strategic initiatives" comments Filip Bittner, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP.
Żabka’s presence as a Partner of the POLAGRA trade fair is a strategic step toward building relationships with new suppliers, food manufacturers, and the tech sector. For hundreds of domestic and international exhibitors, it is a unique opportunity for direct dialogue with a retail chain that serves millions of consumers daily and is dynamically expanding its street food menu and private label portfolio.
"As the largest convenience chain in Europe, we want to actively shape the future of retail and the food market. In everything we do, we put the customer at the center, which is why we continuously develop solutions that respond to their evolving needs and expectations. POLAGRA is a unique opportunity for us to engage with manufacturers, suppliers, and partners on how we can jointly create even more convenient and modern shopping experiences. At Żabka, we consistently invest in innovation—from digital services and new retail formats to a product range tailored to consumers' daily needs. We believe that the growth of modern retail relies on strong collaboration among all partners in this ecosystem, a key part of which are our franchisees. That is why during the fair we want to build partnerships that deliver value to customers, business partners, franchisees, and the market as a whole" says Adam Manikowski, CEO of Żabka Polska.
The POLAGRA trade fair will take place on September 23–25, 2026, at the Poznań International Fair grounds, bringing together key producers, distributors, and food sector experts.
