Wine tasting sessions: Tokaj Magic & Pannon’s Treasures

Share

Be our guest at two special wine tasting sessions at the community stand of the Agricultural Marketing Centre (Hall 5, No:22), where our wine bar’s sommelier will introduce Hungary’s characteristic wines and regions to you. László Angerman won the title ‘Hungary’s Champion Sommelier’ in 2018, so our guests can feel to be in professional hands at the tasting sessions.

Wine tasting sessions, 28-30.09.2020

11:00 – Tokaj Magic

Elegance, excitement, balance – special wines from Tokaj, from tightly structured, dry white wines to honey-sweet aszú. Aszú is natural, sweet wine from Tokaj that has gained worldwide reputation for being made with special care. However, besides aszú, Tokaj – which is one of the six wine-growing regions of the country – also offers unique, dry white wines thanks to its individual climate, the mainly volcanic rocks and the special care by the wine-growers.

14:00 – Pannon’s Treasures

From light to full-bodied, from white to red - The tasting session covers Hungary, from Eger to Villány. Wine tasting starts with the wines of Eger, which is one of the chilliest wine-growing regions. This area is excellent for making white and red wines as a result of its varied soil structure and climate. Finally, giving a framework for the tasting session, we present Villány as the country’s southernmost and hottest wine-growing region, mainly known for its full-bodied red wines.
